How to Apply

The ESA+ scholarship is for students with disabilities who require special education services. When you apply, we will ask you to submit your student’s Eligibility Determination. This is a legal document issued by a public school that determines whether a student has a disability and is eligible for special education or related services. It depends on the cost of the school. Families are responsible for the difference if their tuition is higher than the award amount. If tuition is lower than the award amount, families may use the remaining funds for allowable expenses. For home school families, the entire scholarship amount is used for allowable expenses.

Did You Know?
Children who are placed in a private school by their parents waive their right to the special education services they would receive in the public schools. A private school does not have a legal obligation to provide special education services to students with disabilities. Select a private school carefully and establish a plan prior to enrollment that meets your child’s needs. For more information visit Choosing a School.
